Performs intermediate semiskilled work in the maintenance of parks and grounds; mowing, trimming, mulching, basic carpentry, and mechanical repairs; related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Experience as a semiskilled worker in grounds maintenance.
- Valid driver's license required.
- General knowledge of the safe use of common hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance of equipment used in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
- Performs related tasks as required.
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested by management.
- Participates in employee meetings and trainings as needed.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Meets attendance requirements and maintains the highest level of dependability. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs and reprioritizes work as necessary.
