Bedford County Government is currently accepting applications for General Sessions Deputy Clerk. This is a full time that assists the Circuit Court Clerk in the efficient and equitable operations of the Circuit and General Sessions Courts. A Deputy Clerk is a deputized officer of the Circuit Court and is charged with upholding the local rules of that court, the statutes of the State of Tennessee, and the Constitution of the United States without prejudice, partiality or favor. This classification requires considerable knowledge of the policies, procedures, and laws affecting the work. A Deputy Clerk reports to and is supervised by the Clerk or the Chief Deputy.
