Job Summary:
Washes soiled laundry in commercial washing machines; ensures adequate quantities of detergent to properly sanitize and wash soiled laundry; places freshly-washed laundry in dryers, folds or places dried laundry on hangers; stores clean laundry in designated place(s); must communicate courteously and respectfully with Employees, Residents and others
Qualifications:
Must be able to read and understand Company Policies, supplies and product labels, instructions, OSHA Safety Data Sheets, measure and accurately pour cleaning chemicals, read work schedules; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures adequate laundry/linen supplies are maintained to meet daily needs of Residents
- Collects and sorts soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and places in appropriate containers or assigned area
- Folds, hangs and distributes clean laundry linen and garments to Residents daily
- Disposes of infectious waste according to Infection Control Policy with appropriate containers
- Assists in evacuating Residents in an emergency
