Position: Dishwasher/ Split Shift
5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
Location: Bedford Care Center Monroe Hall
Job Summary:
Keeps dishes washed; takes food carts to and from Nursing Home floors; picks up dishes from Dining areas and dishwashing window; washes and wipes tables, cleans dishwashing room and machinery; empties trash, replaces trash bags in kitchen and Dining area; must communicate courteously and respectfully with all Employees, Residents and others; must maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene
Qualifications:
Prefer experience in similar position with commercial kitchen services; on-the-job training provided; must be in good physical condition, able to read, write, be able to follow oral and written instructions necessary to accomplish job duties; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates commercial dishwasher, processes dirty dishes, keeps dishwasher cleaned
- Performs cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, and other areas of the Dietary Department and/or Dining Rooms as needed
- Communicates courteously and respectfully with facility staff, Residents, family members, visitors and others
- Ensures liquids on kitchen floors are cleaned promptly; reports other Safety Hazards to Dietary Manager
- If requested, assists with receiving food orders and storing food in Pantry
