Job Summary:
Assists with all Dietary operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving meals, cleaning kitchen and dishwashing
Qualifications:
Some experience in large-scale cooking services is preferred; on-the-job training is provided; must be able to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish job duties; must be able to pass drug screen and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed
Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed
Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident’s preferences
Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability
Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned
Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals
