Job Details
Bedard Pharmacy & Medical Supplies is hiring a part-time Delivery Driver. The schedule will be 4-5 days/week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until deliveries are complete, typically 3:00-5:00 p.m. There is some flexibility in the schedule arrangement and further details can be discussed during an in-person interview.
Job Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery, set up, repair, and pick up of Home Medical Equipment (HME), medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals to Bedard patients and commercial accounts (group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc.).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current State of ME Class C Driver's License
- Ability to pass criminal background and driving record check
- Ability to use GPS navigation system and smartphone delivery software
- Comfortable being under video surveillance while operating company vehicle
- Comfortable driving in city and country settings in Maine in various weather conditions
- Good customer service skills
- Strong communication skills with capacity to make independent decisions
- Neat personal appearance with pleasing manner and interpersonal skills
- Command of written and verbal English language
- Previous delivery experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to enter and exit cab of vehicle up to 50 or more times per shift
- Exposure to various weather conditions
- Frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. below waist level and at or above shoulder level
- Repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
