Duties

• Perform grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
• Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin, providing recommendations for care and maintenance.
• Handle pets safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming areas and equipment.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs, health concerns, and any recommended follow-up care.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices in animal care.

Requirements

• Proven experience in animal grooming is REQUIRED.
• Skills in dog handling, training, or veterinary assistance are highly desirable.
• Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with confidence.
• Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Experience with heavy lifting is beneficial as some pets may require assistance during grooming.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is a plus.
• A compassionate attitude towards animals is essential for success in this role.
