PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $21.65-$24.23 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.65-$28.65 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. The Teller role plays a crucial part in providing quality service to our members. With your excellent member service skills and knowledge of credit union policies and procedures, you will ensure that all teller transactions are conducted accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner, making a positive impact on our members' banking experience.

Compensation Transparency

Offers are made within this range, taking into account experience, skills, and alignment with internal team compensation. Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.

About This Role & Schedule Expectations

• Position Location: Eastside Financial Center (ESFC)
• Training Locations: Tukwila Financial Center (TFC) (10 training days) and Everett Financial Center (EFC) (remainder of the 5-week training program)
• Training: During your first five weeks of employment, you will complete 10 required training days at the Tukwila Financial Center, with the remainder of your training taking place at the Everett Financial Center.
• One-Year Commitment: All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this role and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU.
• Travel Required: The ability to commute to your assigned branch (Eastside Financial Center), the Tukwila Financial Center, and the Everett Financial Center during training is required.
• Schedule Flexibility Required: Tellers work varying shifts during our operating hours based on business needs. Flexibility to work any scheduled shift, including up to three Saturdays per month, is a core expectation of the role.
  
  

Training Schedule

• First 5 weeks, Monday–Friday
• Paid training between approximately 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Includes 10– required training days at the Tukwila Financial Center, the remainder of the 5-week program will take place at the Everret Financial Center.
  
  

Post-Training Schedule

• Monday–Friday shifts between 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Up to 3 rotational Saturdays per month: 8:45 AM – 1:30 PM
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Typically requires High School Diploma or associated Certification (GED).
• 1 year of customer service or relevant experience.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Teller or cash handling experience.
• Spanish language fluency highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
• Experience in promoting and selling financial products or services.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.
• Successful completion of in-house teller training program.
• Proficient math skills, with the ability to process account transactions accurately.
• Ability to multitask.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills to ensure professional handling of member concerns.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, using discretion and sound judgment.
• Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives and goals.
