Responsibilities:
Assists the Services Operations Manager with client projects including responsibilities such as, communicating project updates internally and externally, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with client expectations and company's standard operating procedures.
Leads daily morning stand-up meetings and works closely with Lead Technician(s) and engineering technicians to handle day-to-day project execution including resource scheduling, equipment scheduling, quality event tracking and completion, and other operations activities as needed. Supervises day to-day lab operations including:
Trains personnel in company policies, quality system, and procedures and test methods
Troubleshoots testing equipment and investigates out of specification, deviation, and other events directly.
Supports Services Operations Manager in development and maintenance of the company's training programs in compliance to cGMP and/or ISO guidelines.
Work with client logistic groups and project leaders to ensure the receipt and tracking of materials to and from ZebraSci labs.
May supervise directly or indirectly lab technician staff by:
Providing career support, guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for more junior operations staff.
Service delivery management responsibilities. Conducts, performs and/or ensures the following:
Conducts facilities work, including management of alarm systems, sample storage areas, housekeeping activities, and others.
Manages equipment and staff schedule to maximize efficiency and productivity
Edits, authors, and reviews test protocols and reports, leveraging site staff as needed
Edits, authors and reviews SOPs, IQ/OQ/PQ, change controls & other technical documentation related to ZebraSci processes and services as needed
Ensures that company standard operating procedures are being followed
Executes and manages laboratory data and document review to ensure work is completed in alignment with company procedures and client expectations
Oversees and manages equipment maintenance schedule including instrument calibrations, performance verification, and IQOQPQ.
Authors quality system related tasks such as non-conformances, deviations, and CAPAs, including updates to Quality System documents as needed. Analyzes problems, identifies solutions, and implements recommendations as well as assists and/or authors quality events in collaboration with quality team.
Maintains a working knowledge of commonly prescribed methods, background information, and troubleshooting strategies.
Assists the services operations manager in supporting client and agency audits, inspections, and visits.
Other activities, testing, and duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering field.
2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, device, or contract research and development industry (or adjacent field). Research or testing experience in a laboratory setting is required.
Experience working within a GMP and/or highly regulated environment is preferred.
Strong technical writing skills.
Familiarity with ISO, ICH, ASTM standards is a plus.
