Location: In-person, Upper East Side, NYC (5 days/week)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Pay Range: 90-150k based on experience
About Becoming You
At Becoming You Labs, we empower the discovery of authenticity, purpose, and pursuit. Led by Suzy Welch—three-time NYT best-selling author, HBS ‘88, and professor at NYU Stern—we design and build science-backed products and transformative behavioral systems that help individuals uncover their values, aptitudes, and most energizing economically viable interests.
Our flagship products, including The Values Bridge and PIE360 Feedback, are reshaping personal and professional growth by turning self-awareness into a usable, scalable operating system for life. Two additional tools, Career Traits Compass and Career Catalyst, are in development with an expected GTM date of the fourth quarter of 2025.
As we scale, one of our highest-impact opportunities is creating certification protocols and programs for our four tools. In addition, we intend to certify coaches, educators, therapists, and institutional leaders in the Becoming You methodology—equipping them to bring our products into their own practices, organizations, and classrooms with rigor, clarity, and brand integrity.
The Role
We’re looking for a Certification & Curriculum Designer to architect the entire learning, credentialing, and instructional experience for the Becoming You Labs Training Institute. This is a full-stack learning design role—equal parts curriculum architect, credentialing strategist, and instructional experience creator.
You will design, test, and refine certification programs that:
- Train providers in our products and methodology
- Validate competency through meaningful, defensible assessments
- Equip graduates to confidently deploy the Becoming You framework and tools in real-world contexts
- Maintain brand integrity, scientific rigor, and learner engagement at every touchpoint
- Establish a sustainable revenue stream through smart pricing, licensing, and CEU credit pathways
This role sits at the intersection of product, behavioral science, learning design, and business strategy—ensuring our certification ecosystem becomes a gold-standard credential in purposeful living.
What You’ll Do
Credentialing Framework Design
- Define certification levels, expected duration, prerequisites, and renewal cycles
- Ensure programs are eligible for CEU credits where applicable
- Design international adaptation options for global providers and organizations
Curriculum Design
- Develop modular, cohort-based, and self-paced training tracks for multiple learner types (coaches, educators, therapists, HR teams)
- Align all curriculum to flagship tools (The Values Bridge, PIE360, Career Traits Compass, etc.)
- Integrate simulations, real-world scenarios, and reflective exercises for depth of mastery
Assessment & Credentialing
- Create valid, defensible assessment models that can withstand HR and academic scrutiny
- Use a mix of practical demonstrations, digital exams, and case reviews
- Implement continuous feedback loops for learner growth and program evolution
Instructional Design for Adult Learners
- Apply best practices in adult learning theory to engage experienced professionals
- Build content that respects learner expertise while challenging assumptions
- Adapt content for different learning styles and delivery formats
Brand-Aligned Certification Materials
- Develop guidebooks, slide decks, facilitator manuals, and instructional videos that reflect our bold, zero-fluff tone
- Partner with design to create visually stunning and cohesive materials
Platform & Delivery Strategy
- Select and manage the right LMS platform for content delivery, exam hosting, and recertification tracking
- Ensure seamless learner onboarding and intuitive digital experiences
Pricing & Licensing Models
- Work with leadership to establish sustainable pricing structures for individuals, teams, and institutions
- Build licensing agreements for large-scale deployments in corporate or educational environments
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain alignment with professional certification standards in coaching, education, and organizational development
- Document all frameworks for internal knowledge and external accreditation reviews
You Might Be a Fit If You…
- Have 5–8 years in instructional design, curriculum development, or certification program creation (coaching, therapy, leadership development, or higher ed)
- Are fluent in credentialing frameworks, adult learning theory, and assessment design
- Have designed multi-level, scalable certification programs with measurable learner outcomes
- Can translate complex behavioral science into engaging, applicable learning experiences
- Understand both content creation and business model implications of credentialing
- Are equally comfortable architecting the system and building the lesson plan
- Thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Care deeply about scientific rigor, brand integrity, and transformative learner experiences
