To better support our growth, we are looking for a stellar manager with a proven track record owning the Human Resources Office. This leadership position will work from our headquarters in Seattle, overseeing the HR needs of the other locations remotely, with expected sporadic travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting and Hiring Management
o In collaboration with the hiring managers, define position requirements, design job descriptions and
manage job postings
o Recommend compensation packages
o Interview and manage the hiring process of new employees
o Implement onboarding of employees to both benefits, policies, and culture of B&K.
- Human Capital Management:
o Run payroll and set up employee benefits
o Enforce HR policies with leadership guidance
o Maintain employee handbook
o Maintain employee records
o Assist with data management as needed
o In collaboration with other department heads, develop performance reviews and individual
improvement plans
o Implement offboarding of employees
o Manage PTO / Vacation / time off per policies
o Manage necessary state tax payments, compliance requirements, unemployment, etc. as it relates
to payroll
- Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, mentor, train, and develop the HR office, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and
continuous improvement.
o Oversee departmental performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address any
performance issues.
o In collaboration with other department heads, develop and implement staffing plans and optimize
labor allocation to meet operational demands.
o Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, health and safety standards (OSHA), and company
policies.
o Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program within the organization.
o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.
o Ensure all team members are properly trained on equipment safety, storage protocols, including
appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and, in collaboration with other department heads,
implement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
o Utilize data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze performance, identify trends, and
make data-driven decisions.
o Stay informed of industry’s best practices and emerging technologies in Human Resources.
- Skills:
o High degree of consistency is required for interviews, recruiting and managing employee issues
o Ability to connect with and understand employees and employee needs, while maintaining strict
confidentiality.
- Qualifications:
o Speak fluent English
o Five years of management experience; expertise in all areas of HR
o Have a bachelor’s degree in business management or HR
o Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise.
o SHRM-CP, PHR certifications highly desired
