The Pastry Assistant will work closely with the Pastry Chef to prepare and execute all aspects of the dessert menu. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and execution of desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Measure, mix, and bake ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with the development and testing of new dessert menu items.
- Monitor inventory and notify the Pastry Chef of any shortages or issues.
- Participate in daily kitchen prep and assist with other duties as required by the kitchen team.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pastry or bakery role, preferably in a fine-dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry fundamentals.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and replicate the chef's vision.
