TITLE: Assistant Varsity Football Coach
REPORTS TO: Head Football Coach, Activities Director and High School Principal
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Coach both an offensive and defensive position group. The position groups will be assigned based on qualifications and Team needs.
- Run scout teams during practices.
- Assist in organizing, conducting, and evaluating daily practices.
- Attending all meetings called by the Head Coach.
- Enforce all regulations of Beckman Catholic High School and the IHSAA including informing the participants of these policies.
- Promote and remain loyal to the philosophies of the Beckman Catholic Football Program.
- Provide feedback and communicate with the Head Coach about individual and team issues.
- Model the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior.
- Know the rules of your sport.
- Attending clinics and reading literature to continue coaching knowledge growth.
- Work hard. Be positive. Be on time.
IN SEASON SCHEDULE: August-November
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization as mandated by the Iowa Department of Education, Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, Iowa High School Athletic Association.
JOB GOAL:
To develop and promote the Beckman Catholic Football program.
