What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Operator position at Beckley Sanitary Board?
The Beckley Sanitary Board (BSB), a leading Southern WV wastewater/stormwater utility is seeking to fill an open position for a Wastewater Operator in Training. This position will assist with plant operations; repair and maintenance of plant and lift station facilities, and sampling and laboratory duties. Job duties may also include vehicle, equipment, building maintenance tasks, and must have a valid drivers license. Preferred candidates have a valid commercial driver’s license and current West Virginia Class I or II wastewater operator or Operator in Training certificate, or ability to obtain certification within one year and mechanical background. Minimum education is graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Must pass a physical exam, and meet the physical requirements of the position. Only qualified applicants will be considered. As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a criminal background investigation and drug test.
