Job Overview
The RV Service Parts Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, and organizing parts that support the Service Department. This role works closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure parts are available, tracked, and aligned with scheduled work orders. The position plays a critical role in maintaining workflow efficiency and ensuring service jobs are
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness and ensure accuracy of part status
- Accurately enter parts into the dealership system (IDS or equivalent) following established procedures
- Update purchase orders, pricing, and freight charges as needed
- Properly maintain organization and cleanliness of the service parts area by labelling, tagging, and properly storing parts designated for service work orders.
- Process return goods authorizations (RGAs), including preparing, packaging, and shipping returned items
- Maintain and update the Service Parts Log, tracking all parts related to upcoming service appointments and work orders
- Drafting reports for Service Manager regarding part lead times.
- Utilize dealership systems for tracking, reporting, and communication
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs and communicate movement of parts within service department to support workflow coordination
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
- Possess sufficient computer skills to effectively use the types of hardware, software applications and business forms common in a vehicle sales environment.
- Customer service experience.
- RV industry experience or background.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Eligible work authorization in the U.S.
- Good communication, organizational and learning skills.
- The ability to work independently and as a team member.
What you need to know: Regular hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5pm with rotating Saturday. This is a non-exempt position, which means you are eligible for overtime pay. Pay starts at $15/hr and increases based on your experience and qualifications.
