Job Summary
Under the direction of the Quality and Training Manager, the Training Instructor is responsible for preparing new team members for success in the monitoring center through structured training, coaching, and evaluation. This role also provides ongoing development for existing employees by reinforcing best practices, delivering additional training, and supporting continuous improvement.
The Training Instructor conducts weekly audits, supports quality assurance initiatives, and provides constructive feedback to Operations to help maintain high service standards. This role is also responsible for promoting Becklar’s “We Care F.I.R.S.T.” culture and ensuring team members are immersed in company values from the start of their journey.
What You’ll Do
- Train new team members by delivering structured course material in a classroom setting
- Prepare, organize, and deliver training content including role-play scenarios and exercises
- Evaluate trainee understanding and adjust instruction methods to meet individual learning needs
- Conduct weekly audits and support departmental auditing goals
- Provide constructive feedback to Operations as part of the quality assurance program
- Assist with onboarding activities including OJT documentation and trainee progress tracking
- Support continuous learning by providing ongoing training and development to existing team members
- Collaborate with Dealer Care to resolve dealer issues through research and coordination
- Participate in interviewing and onboarding processes by providing feedback to HR
- Monitor and support operator performance through silent monitoring and QA checkups
- Administer and score training assessments and certification tests
- Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Communicate training updates, class progress, and graduation status across departments
- Support culture initiatives including training engagement, recognition, and team activities
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the training environment
- Track and report on training performance, class outcomes, and KPIs
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a training, instructional, or coaching role preferred
- Central Station or monitoring center experience preferred
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage groups
- Ability to break down complex processes into clear, understandable concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to adapt communication and teaching style to different learners
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with quality assurance processes and auditing preferred
- Confidence and professionalism when presenting in front of groups
- Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and meet performance expectations
- Strong alignment with company culture, values, and service standards
