Description

Beckhoff Automation is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Regional Sales Support (RSS) professional to drive sales execution, enhance customer experience, and support strategic initiatives across the region. This part-time role supports a high volume of assigned accounts, requiring strong teamwork and excellent customer-facing skills to enhance Beckhoff’s customer experience and meet regional targets.

The RSS collaborates with sales, customer service, and customers in their region to drive execution, streamline quoting, and support account development. Key Responsibilities

Sales Support & Execution

  • Support the development of new sales opportunities through targeted outreach and relationship-building within assigned accounts.
  • Provide technical expertise for quotes and configuration inquiries, enhancing customer experience and reducing reliance on Sales Engineer support.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to streamline quoting processes.
  • Recommend relevant products based on customer purchasing history and technical needs.
  • Assist in executing regional sales campaigns to grow machine share and support territory goals.
  • Maintain current product knowledge through ongoing learning and collaboration.

CRM & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate customer data in CRM systems to support communication and follow-ups.
  • Contribute to campaign tracking and pipeline visibility through CRM updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with logistics, technical support, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Sales Coordinator on strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in occasional travel to support customer engagement, as needed.

Work Location

This position is based on-site at our office in San Jose, CA. Regular in-person attendance is required to support team collaboration and business operations.

Travel

This position requires varying travel ranging from 0-5% which may include day trips, overnight stays, and occasional extended travel depending on business needs. Travel may be local, regional, or national. All travel-related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy. Qualifications

What We’re Looking For – Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related technical field.
  • Strong communicator with attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, business systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Comfortable working remotely and across multiple teams.
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
