Duties
- Operate mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns and gardens
- Perform lawn mowing, edging, pruning, hedge trimming, and shrub care to ensure properties look pristine
- Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, mulching, and hardscape setup when needed
- Maintain irrigation systems and perform basic repairs to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for pests, disease, or damage and report issues promptly
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or winterization to keep properties maintained year-round
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery
Experience
- Prior experience with lawn care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators or tree care tools is a plus
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing techniques, tree trimming, gardening, and irrigation systems
- Ability to operate construction or hardscape equipment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
