What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer - Department Head position at Becker Morgan Group, Inc?
Basic Function: Manage and supervise civil engineering projects in your designated region.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Ability to manage a civil team independently from budget to implementation
- Coordinate and schedule workload within the office and with other offices of the firm
- Create leads for new work prospects and maintain previous relationships for continued work
- Consult with clients to determine their needs and wants.
- Apply sound and diverse knowledge of civil principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields.
- Use of advanced techniques and modification of theories, precepts, and practices
- Aid in business development by identifying new project opportunities, building client relations, and contributing to the growth of the firm.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to lead and motivate staff members efficiently and effectively
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Good visualization, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven, demanding environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficient in HydroCAD
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- 10 years of experience
- 1 years in a leadership role
Certifications/Licenses Required:
- Professional Engineering License
Salary : $95,000 - $145,000
