Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employment and labor law, talent acquisition, and human capital management. This role is crucial in shaping our organizational culture, enhancing employee relations, and driving performance management initiatives. The Human Resources Director will work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Manage employee relations and conflict management to foster a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA, and other employment laws while managing workers' compensation claims.
- Lead performance management initiatives, including employee evaluations and training & development programs.
- Design and implement organization design strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee benefits administration and payroll processes using HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Time & Pay or Paychex.
- Facilitate employee orientation programs to integrate new hires into the company culture.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and succession planning efforts.
- Utilize data analysis skills for effective decision-making in HR sourcing and program management.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within the HR department to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management with a focus on strategic planning and talent management.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation processes.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with experience in contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with supervising experience in an HR capacity.
- Proficiency in various HRIS platforms such as Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or Ceridian is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on budgeting and resource allocation.
- Experience in change management and program management within an HR context.
