Assistant Account Executive, PR and Digital

Becker Communications is seeking an organized, creative and motivated Assistant Account Executive to join our award-winning team. You'll gain hands-on experience developing media pitches, creating compelling content, supporting social media and digital campaigns, assisting with client events, and learning how integrated communications campaigns are planned and executed. Responsibilities:

• Support account teams in the execution of public relations, digital marketing and communications campaigns
• Draft press releases, media advisories, pitches, social media content, blog posts, newsletters and other communications materials
• Assist with media outreach and build relationships with reporters, editors, influencers and content creators
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends and social media conversations, and prepare reports and summaries
• Help coordinate media interviews, photo opportunities and community outreach initiatives
• Conduct research to support client strategy, competitive analysis and new business opportunities
• Participate in client meetings and internal brainstorming sessions
• Collaborate with designers, videographers, digital specialists and other team members to execute integrated campaigns

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
• Two to three years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications or digital media (internships and agency experience are a plus)
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices
• Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, collaborative and eager to learn
