About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fuel Technician/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance across our convenience store locations, with a focus on fuel systems, equipment repairs, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fuel pumps, dispensers, tank monitors, and related fuel system equipment.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on store facilities, HVAC units, plumbing, lighting, and general building needs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues quickly and accurately.
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Follow all safety protocols, fuel handling regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with store leadership and the maintenance department regarding status updates and repair needs.
- Travel between store locations as required.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, fuel technician, or mechanical repair experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of fuel systems, pumps, electrical components, and plumbing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

Requirements
1. 3 years of varied general maintenance experience and specific experience in electronics, Verifone POS, Wayne or Gilbarco dispensers, Veeder Root Tank Gauges, HVAC/R.
2. Processing work orders using custom software.
3. Computer skills, including at least Outlook, Word, Excel, and smart phone.
4. Willingness to “roll up his sleeves” and do what is necessary to get the job done.
5. Honesty, integrity and a strong desire to succeed.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
7. Ability to deal tactfully in human issues with colleagues.
8. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
9. Willingness to participate in the after-hours on call rotations.
Physical Demands and Environmental Condition Requirements
Occasional:
Use of hand and foot controls, balancing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, exposure to atmospheric conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, high exposed place, and explosion hazards.
Frequent:
Standing, walking, driving, lifting and carrying up to 90 lbs., climbing, heights up to 30’, forward bending, reaching, use of hands and fingers, exposure to weather, noise, and vibrations.
