Beck N Call: Specific need. Must live in Saylorsburg or Effort and surrounding area. Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle. Experience a plus but not required. 8am-3pm specific shift. 2 clients only any day Sunday -Friday. Flexible schedule.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive care, patient observation, and personalized support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring long-term or short-term care within their home.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor residents’ health status by observing patient behavior and overall well-being, ensuring timely reporting of concerns.
- Accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality.
- Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, accommodating special dietary needs and preferences. .
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards and facility policies.
- Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals to promote clients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Engage residents in social activities and conversation to foster involvement and mental stimulation.
- Document care activities
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.

- Ability to perform personal care while maintaining clients dignity and comfort.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status promptly.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions such as dementia or autism spectrum disorder is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, healthcare teams
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
