What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Beck Farms LLC?
Beck Farms is a growing progressive family-owned dairy operating in two locations. We milk 2,000 cows and farm about 4,000 acres. Our team consists of 35 employees, 10 of whom assist with crop production. We strive to produce high quality feed while ensuring the safety for our team, upholding responsible community interaction, and maintaining environmental stewardship.
We are currently seeking a lead mechanic to join our team. Our mechanics are responsible for helping maintain and repair our fleet of equipment. This includes but is not limited to large trucks, tractors, skid steers, implements, etc. Candidates must have strong diagnostic skills with knowledge of diesel engines, heavy truck components, and hydraulic and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair heavy trucks and farm equipment
· Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
· Keep inventory of parts in stock to ensure timely repairs
· Communicate with management daily
· Keep organized records of service and repairs
· Prioritize safety and maintain an organized work area/environment
Required Qualifications:
· Strong diagnostic skills with knowledge of diesel engines, heavy truck components, and hydraulic and electrical systems
· Ability to work in a team setting
· Motivated, self-starter with a hands-on attitude
· Positive attitude and high level of communication
· Organized with ability to keep work area clean
· 3 years of relevant mechanic experience with employment references
· Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience:
· CDL
· Welding skills
Compensation:
· Starting earnings range $22-30 per hour depending on experience
· Profit sharing pending qualification

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
