Project Overview
The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000 acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction and it now consists of three operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 15 million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world’s largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities. Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) is a new phase at the existing CCL facility and will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.
Job Summary
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Major Responsibilities
Work Planning & Packaging
- Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
- Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures.
- Initiates requisitions for field purchases
- Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
- Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
- Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
For Direct Hire
- Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
- Reviews and approves inspection test plans
- Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
- Construction experience assigned to a construction site.
- Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
- Preferred: Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Excellent problem-solving ability.
