Project Overview
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.
Job Summary
In this role, you will assist with the inspection of construction work and materials. You will assemble information, support the deployment of automation tools, prepare status reports, enter data to status punch list items, and maintain critical files, inventory, and databases. Your work will help ensure construction work and materials comply with specifications, codes, drawings, and project requirements.

In this role, you will assist with the inspection of construction work and materials. You will assemble information, support the deployment of automation tools, prepare status reports, enter data to status punch list items, and maintain critical files, inventory, and databases. Your work will help ensure construction work and materials comply with specifications, codes, drawings, and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities
Work Planning & Packaging
- Supports in the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements
- Supports in planning construction methods and procedures.
- Initiates requisitions for field purchases
- Supports in preparation of quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
- Monitors commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
- Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
- Assists supporting construction engineers, discipline superintendents, foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
For Direct Hire
- Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
- Assists in building system and area turnover packages both digitally and physically for turnover to startup and client.
- Requires 2-4 years of related experience –OR– Associate’s from Technical School or Community College
- Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast preferred.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Some understanding of and experience with Smart Completions and Unifier is preferred.
