Border Patrol Specialist
The role of a Border Patrol Specialist involves protecting the nation's borders while fostering camaraderie and pride among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough questioning and inspections of individuals, documents, and properties
- Utilize covert surveillance and infrared scopes to detect and apprehend undocumented individuals or smugglers
- Perform routine checks at farms, traffic points, buildings, cities, and transportation hubs
- Patrol various terrains using vehicles, horses, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, or motorcycles
Requirements:
- United States citizenship
- Age: Must be referred before turning 40 (exceptions apply for federal or veteran law enforcement)
- Veterans: May qualify under Veterans' Recruitment Appointment (VRA) program
