Job Summary
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position involves operating multiple types of forklift equipment, including sit-down/standup, clamp, cherry, and reach equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandise Storage: Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a variety of forklift equipment, ensuring maximum storage capacity and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Unloading and Shipping: Safely unloads inbound shipments and moves products to storage locations, preparing them for shipment as needed.
- Picking and Packaging: Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in meeting customer service standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following prescribed work methods and maintaining records of maintenance and inspections.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in forklift operation and/or warehouse distribution equipment.
- Safety Certifications: Forklift certification required on at least 3 pieces of equipment.
