**Job Summary**
The Materials Associate I is responsible for providing receiving and warehousing functions under the supervision of the Manager of Materials Distribution.
**Responsibilities:**
- Enter stock issues into the HMS (Hospital Management System).
- Ensure correct and timely labeling of items in the supply storeroom.
- Pull and dispense storeroom orders for Par Carts, Case Carts, walk-up orders, etc.
- Deliver inbound shipments to end-user departments as needed.
- Aid in cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
- Receive and sign for inbound deliveries from vendors.
- Enter receipt transactions using the HMS.
- Restock warehouse shelves neatly and orderly.
- Recommend warehouse space allocation changes to management staff.
- Maintain accuracy of on-hand balances of stock held in inventory.
- Provide training and education to peer staff on topics such as stock issues, receiving, labeling, etc.
- Communicate professionally with customers and support personnel via phone or in person.
**Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; prior experience in healthcare materials management preferred.
- No specific licensure requirement.
