Key Responsibilities
The Material Handler will be responsible for:
- Shipment preparation: preparing products for shipping by banding and strapping them to skids.
- Loading and unloading materials: moving materials onto and off trucks.
- Equipment operation: operating industrial trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Carpentry tasks: performing tasks related to building skids and crates.
- Bundling and loading: bundling I-beams and columns, and loading them onto flatbed trailers.
- Computer skills: using computer software for staging products for shipping and loading.
- Outside work: performing tasks outside, such as unloading pallet trucks and organizing the pallet area.
- Maintenance: maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
