About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our 51-bed Med-Surg unit at Central Vermont Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses with experience in caring for patients with medical and surgical conditions.
Unit Overview
The Med-Surg unit offers a dynamic work environment where you will work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. You will be responsible for caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including telemetry, post-operative orthopedic, post-operative urology and GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, end-of-life, dementia, and placement needs.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, utilizing your expertise to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Apply and interpret telemedicine technology to actively respond to patients' needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty of Med-Surg.
- BLS certification and preferred certifications such as telemetry, ACLS, and peripheral IV placement.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position working day shifts, with no weekend or call requirements. You will have access to self-scheduling and may float to other like specialties. Our hospital uses Epic and Pyxis medication systems to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
Compensation
The estimated weekly pay rate for this position is $2114 per week, based on qualifications and experience.
