About the Job
We are seeking a talented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Teller. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling daily teller transactions, and developing strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Handling: Responsible for receiving deposits, loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits.
- Customer Service: Answers customer questions in person and/or on the telephone, provides account services, and resolves customer issues.
- Cross-Selling: Identifies opportunities to sell bank products to customers, answers inquiries, and informs customers of new services and promotions.
- Special Requests: Completes special customer requests, such as closing accounts, taking orders for checks, opening and closing Christmas and vacation clubs, exchanging foreign currencies, and providing special statements and referrals.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience in a cash handling role preferred.
- Skills: Excellent mathematical aptitude, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, and ability to handle sensitive confidential information.
