Telecommunications Specialist

Key Responsibilities
">- Install and maintain digital and analog microwave systems, including fiber optic systems and channel banks
- Troubleshoot problems with communication systems, using sophisticated equipment and software
- Perform preventive maintenance on all systems to ensure they operate within federal requirements
- Maintain logs and records required by federal and state agencies
Requirements
">- An associate degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of FCC rules and regulations, electronics, and telecommunications technologies
- 3 years' experience with electronics, electrical power, mechanical principles, and LAN/WAN data cabling systems
- Computer diagnostic skills and ability to obtain General Radiotelephone Operator's License (Elements 1 and 3)
