Production Technician Welder

Job Summary:

As a Production Technician Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling traffic control products and equipment from raw materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. This role may also involve assisting with designing and fabricating custom and new standard products, working collaboratively to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare necessary parts for production from raw materials as needed.
• Weld and fabricate standard traffic control products to meet quality specifications.
• Assist in monthly inventory counts to support accurate inventory control.
• Inspect the quality of raw materials before welding; report any discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
• Provide support in construction and assembly for larger projects as required.

Qualifications:

To be successful as a Production Technician Welder, you will need to have:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a fabrication or production environment.
• The ability to pass a background check.
• The ability to successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• The ability to wear proper safety equipment (work boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest).
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Brief knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
• The ability to operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material dimensions.
• The physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
