Job Title: Regional Project Lead
Description: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Manufacturing workstream within the broader business optimization program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Manufacturing workstream, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements across the network of brick plants.
- Implement best practices and methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Develop the operations improvement plan for each site in cooperation with Plant Directors and functional departments.
- Manage labour, material, and energy spend standards and performance metrics.
- Oversee the program budget and contribute to building investment requests when necessary.
- Deploy best practices on Lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance amongst sites to support manufacturing excellence.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
- Project management qualification/certification is desirable.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in the brick and masonry or similar heavy industry sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to different manufacturing plants across North America.
