About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selecting type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications
- Inspecting work sites to determine presence of obstructions
- Planning sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
- Cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes using various tools and machines
- Maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping
- Testing piping systems for leaks and welding pipe supports to structural steel members
- Observing production machines and operating machinery to detect malfunctions and verify repairs
- Loading, transporting, and unloading materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Performing minor maintenance and cleaning activities of tools and equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of Journeyman level experience
- Ability to work at heights without fear and compare differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
