OD/ID Grinding Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OD/ID Grinding Technician to join our team. As an OD/ID Grinding Technician, you will be responsible for operating various grinding machines, including the Kellenberger Kel-Vista, Kellenberger Kel-Vita, Kellenberger Universal, and Jones & Shipman.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate OD/ID grinding machines, ensuring precision and accuracy in grinding operations.
2. Program CNC machines on the floor, utilizing (3) tools to program.
3. Run Kellenberger Kel-Vista, Kellenberger Kel-Vita, and Kellenberger Universal grinding machines, as well as Jones & Shipman.
4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed as an OD/ID Grinding Technician, you must possess:

• Experience with OD/ID grinding processes, including grinding between centers, chucking OD grinding, chucking ID grinding, and non-round grinding.
• Ability to operate manual grinders, such as the Kellenberger Universal, and develop skills to know the feel of a manual machine.
• Proficiency in conversational programming for CNC machines, specifically for the Jones & Shipman.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with surface finishes and tolerances, particularly .0002" total tolerances.
