Job Description:
- Assure quality patient care by following physician orders, state and federal regulations, and established policies and procedures.
- Administer medications as ordered by a physician and according to facility protocols.
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Assist physicians with rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as needed.
- Perform scheduled treatments and document patient care activities accordingly.
- Maintain infection control measures and adhere to regulations related to cleanliness and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Proven ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctor's orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification required.
- Ability to make decisions regarding patient care issues and understand potential consequences for patients.
