Job Description
This position provides mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members who present themselves from psychiatric evaluation with a broad range of mental health needs.
- Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to plan and direct individual member treatment programs.
- Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and referral of Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Conducts thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs, including evaluations of their symptoms, medical history, and social situation. Develops treatment plans that take into account these factors.
Provides education and support to patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Utilizes resources such as group therapy and educational workshops to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement behavioral medicine and health psychology programs in various settings, including primary care.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field required from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Couples and Families Endorsement (California) within 24 months of hire.
