Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled IT support specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As an IT consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure, providing user support, and ensuring that our systems and networks are functioning smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workstation Administration:
- Set up, maintain, and retire workstations, ensuring they run efficiently and securely.
- Evaluate and address workstation-related issues promptly.
- Dell Warranty Repairs:
- Coordinate and manage repairs under Dell warranty, guaranteeing devices return to full functionality.
- QuickBooks Server Management:
- Maintain a laptop functioning as the QuickBooks server, ensuring stability and security.
- Office 365 Administration:
- Manage user accounts, email, and documents through Office 365.
- Collaborate with team members on tasks such as user onboarding, password resets, distribution list maintenance, and billing.
- wireless Network Setup & Troubleshooting:
- Assist in setting up and troubleshooting household-grade wireless networks for remote work environments.
- Provide guidance and solutions to network connectivity issues, ensuring reliable access.
- User Support/Helpdesk:
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users via phone or other means as needed.
- Address user concerns efficiently and escalate issues when necessary.
- Special Projects:
- Contribute to and manage special technology-related projects as required, such as software updates, new technology integrations, or infrastructure improvements.
- A proven track record in IT support and consulting, preferably in a small office or non-profit environment.
- A strong foundation in workstation administration (Windows OS, Office 365, and network setups).
- Experience with Dell warranty repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks server setup and maintenance.
- Comfort with household-grade wireless network setups and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Availability of 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust based on need.
