**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support within the stock department, including supporting descendant enrollment processes and annual meeting preparation.
This role is part of a Career Ladder Development Track designed to facilitate advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to shareholders via in-person, phone, and mail.
- Meeting and greeting shareholders daily, monitoring incoming calls and emails, and responding to shareholder needs and requests.
- Analyzing data and entering information into shareholder systems and other spreadsheets.
- Filing shareholder correspondences and confidential files after review and transfer completion.
- Performing other duties as assigned, including covering the receptionist when needed and driving a manhaul truck.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One to three years of experience, or equivalent training and experience combined.
- Knowledge of office management principles and practices.
- Understanding of business operations for UIC Lands Department.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work productively with other staff members in various office situations.
- Detailed and organized, with good filing skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Preference given to those who speak Inupiaq language.
- Valid Alaska driver's license.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Bondable and able to obtain Notary Public Commission certification from the State of Alaska.
- Travel required.
