Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while leading teams to complete customer projects. This role involves working closely with field technicians to ensure successful project outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Operate various heavy equipment with a GVW > 26,000 lbs, including roll-off trucks, tractor/trailers, liquid vacs, turbo vacs, sewer cleaners, and box trucks.
- Safety First: Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Rotating Shifts: Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, 'on-call' based on the rotating schedule for emergency response, may require out-of-town travel.
- Record Keeping: Complete required route/productivity sheets, electronic vehicle logs (ELDs), and other reports as necessary.
- Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle in accordance with company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order, reporting any safety issues on standard reports.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Class CDL B or higher with hazardous material and tanker endorsements.
- Certification, including Transportation Worker (TWIC) clearance, as required.
