Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including excavators, skid-steers, side booms, and dump trucks, while working in a fast-paced natural gas transmission construction environment.
About the Role:
- Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, skid-steers, side booms, and dump trucks, in a variety of settings, including natural gas transmission construction.
- Assist with all phases of construction, including pipeline locating, gas leak detection, operations, maintenance, and emergency call-outs.
- Perform various labor tasks, including moving sandbags, pipeline skids, sandblasting, coating pipes, painting, hand digging, and bolting flanges, while working near active, high-pressure pipelines transporting gas and other utilities.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather extremes, subject to gas field hazards.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred.
