We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in an underground salt mine.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Genie, Joy, Oldenburg, Fletcher equipment, and possess basic knowledge of mobile electrical principles and lighting. Additionally, they should have experience with hydraulic hose parts and uses, as well as basic knowledge of heavy industrial equipment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, and possess a strong commitment to safety and security.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including lubrication and inspection.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with equipment, using tools such as cutting torches and welding equipment.
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Comply with company and MSHA rules and regulations.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5 years experience in maintenance field, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
