Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fuel Reduction Specialist to lead our efforts in reducing wildfire risks through grant funding and project management. This part-time position requires 10-30 hours of work per week, with negotiable compensation based on experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities to fund fuel reduction projects.
- Develop and implement project plans, ensure compliance with granting entities' requirements, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with our administrative team to manage budgets, create meeting agendas, and provide updates to board members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fuel reduction project management and grant writing.
- Strong understanding of the California Environmental Quality Act and the needs of Eastern Alpine County's Wildland Urban Interface communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with contractors and stakeholders.
