**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our culinary team as a Food Support Staff member. In this role, you will assist the Dietary Manager in maintaining inventory of kitchen and food supplies, and ensure timely preparation of meals and snacks.
As a Food Support Staff member, you will also be responsible for maintaining food handler permits, assisting with kitchen inspections, and ensuring all equipment is running according to manufacturer's instructions.
This is a full-time position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Dietary Manager in maintaining inventory of kitchen and food supplies, and all related logs
- Ensure timely and appropriate preparation of meals and snacks
- Maintain food handler permits and certifications
- Assist with kitchen inspections and ensure all equipment is running according to manufacturer's instructions
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of food preparation and kitchen experience is preferred. A Texas Food Handlers Certificate is required (e.g., SERV Safe certification).
