- Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Creating complex trust structures and overseeing Medicaid eligibility strategies
- Familiarity with Surrogate's Court procedures and probate administration
- Providing fiduciary recommendations and advocating for team member growth and education
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive estate plans for clients
- Maintaining and updating existing estate plans to ensure they remain relevant to clients' needs and life changes
- Providing ongoing support to clients and their families throughout the estate planning process
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree required; LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and elder law experience
