Job Description: Environmental Compliance Consultants, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of CDL Driver/Environmental Technician. This position offers a unique blend of driving and technical expertise, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
As a Commercial Driver/Environmental Technician, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles and equipment, performing environmental services, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Your primary responsibilities may include:
- Driving and operating light and heavy commercial vehicles and equipment to perform environmental services
- Loading, unloading, securing, and transporting cargo
- Inspecting and handling hazardous waste and materials
- Inspecting containers and collection areas for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Performing routine daily vehicle and equipment inspections
Requirements and Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat, tank, and air brakes endorsements, as well as a clean driving record. Experience working with hazardous waste is preferred, and obtaining a 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification prior to the first day is required. You must also be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screening, including marijuana, and a government background check for military installation access. Additional requirements include:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to operate a respirator
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- General computer skills
