The Groundman position is the entry point for a rewarding career in the construction and maintenance of electrical power grids. This role involves supporting teams in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring personal and team safety while working on energized and de-energized overhead lines.
- Properly inspecting rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding when to wear personal protective equipment.
- Assisting with installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, cross-arms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
This role requires working at heights, confined spaces, and outside in various weather conditions.
