Job Description: The Discipline Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the school bus driver in maintaining discipline while the bus is in operation.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safe practices concerning school bus transportation, applicable laws, and health and safety regulations. They will also be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
The Discipline Support Specialist will assist with student loading, unloading, and seating arrangements as required by state guidelines. They will also maintain current knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures and assist handicapped children on and off the bus.
